Position Overview:
The Jewelry Repair Coordinator will be responsible for managing the intake, processing, and tracking of all jewelry repairs. This role serves as the key liaison between customers, repair technicians, and vendors, ensuring a seamless repair experience. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Repair Intake & Coordination:
• Greet and assist customers in-store with jewelry repair needs.
• Evaluate repair requests, document necessary services, and provide cost estimates.
• Accurately enter repair details into the system, ensuring all required information is collected.
• Assign repairs to the appropriate jeweler, or vendor based on the complexity of the work.
• Maintain detailed records of repairs, including tracking deadlines and customer communications.
Quality Control & Customer Communication:
• Inspect completed repairs for quality assurance before returning them to customers.
• Contact customers with repair updates, estimated completion times, and final costs.
• Ensure timely follow-ups with customers regarding repair statuses and pick-up reminders.
• Handle customer inquiries and concerns with professionalism and problem-solving skills.
Operational & Administrative Support:
• Work closely with jewelers, and external vendors to ensure efficient repair turnaround.
• Manage repair inventory and ensure all pieces are securely stored.
• Maintain accurate reporting of repair sales, ensuring financial tracking aligns with store goals.
• Assist in developing and implementing best practices to improve repair department efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Experience: Prior experience in a jewelry, or luxury retail setting is preferred.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to inspect jewelry and for repair quality.
• Customer Service: Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset.
• Organization & Time Management: Ability to manage multiple repairs and prioritize workflow.
• Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of jewelry and components (preferred, but training provided).
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication for customer and vendor interactions.
• Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with POS and repair tracking software (training provided).
